Catharsis
- release of the shimmer

A procedual VR game exploring emotions.

Emotions are a strong power. Swirling us away and taking us to places we would never have visited otherwise. A beautiful experience to balance and nourish, holding back and releasing at the right moment.

A realisation from past experiences of pushing emotions too hard in some states, can make us see that we shrink the outcome of non-existence. Delay the inevitable, take a step back and care and evolve yourself to enter a new space where the timing is right and you can let your emotions out; matured and fine-tuned. 

Listening, observing and understanding in all dimensions is key to make your emotions shimmer, and it’s not until then you will reach the final Catharsis.

Installation instructions

1. Download the APK below.
2. Make sure your headset is in “developer mode” by following the official instructions.
3. Download and install SideQuest from these instructions; or if you're comfortable with the command line, Android Debug Bridge (ADB) by following these instructions.
4. Using a USB cable, connect your Oculus Quest to your computer and turn the headset on.
5. On your computer, open up SideQuest. Click the "Install APK file" button. Done! Alternatively, using ADB: open a terminal window and install with adb install [filename].apk.
